More than a few people have reached out asking us to share stories and conversations from our past and present – stories from the Boot Room so to say. We want to take this opportunity to look back at the paths we have journeyed and celebrate our rich history. Here we focus on Australia’s denim jeans pioneer as a rich tradition unfolds through the pages of the archives.

No matter how they shrink up the leg, they are always long enough. Fine, soft cloth. You will like these denims.
Extra heavy imported cloth that wears hard - washes soft - fades quickly. Sanforized shrunk and tailored to fit snug. What else could you ask for?
You'll find them hard to wear out. Great for saddle or work - they wash out to be smart casual jeans.
We were the first to make denim jeans in Australia. And we made them the way we've made everything: To work hard. To wear long. And to feel and look good.
Because RM reckons if you're doing hard manual work, you don't need clothes that give you a hard time. So our jeans have back-tack stitching on all the strain points like belt loops and pocket corners. And double-stitched seams, rust-proof rivets and heavy-duty zips.
That's how you make ‘em last.
And, while we were back-stitching those belt loops, we decided to add a few extra. When we made our first jeans, we used the best quality 15oz, heavy denim we could find. Denim that would last for years. And because we soft wash them now, they feel good from the first day.
When R.M.Williams became Australia's first denim jeans maker more than 75 years ago, the practical hard-wearing designs were embraced across the land. Now, the legacy continues with new quality cuts that move with the times.
